How to use Uncle Favour's Beans Flour
Using Uncle Favour's Beans Flour for Akara
- 1 cup of Uncle Favour's Beans Flour
- 350ml of clean water
- Chopped onions
- Chopped peppers
- Salt
- Vegetable oil
Procedure
Measure one cup of Uncle Favour's Beans flour into a clean bowl. Add 350ml of clean water then beat into a paste. Let stand for about three minutes to allow the paste to settle. Before beating in the chopped peppers and onions, check the consistency of the paste, if too thick add more water to your required consistency, then add salt to taste. Beat in the chopped vegetables.
Pour some vegetable oil into a frying pan, slice in some onions. When the onion becomes brown in colouration, remove from the oil. Using a spoon (preferably a dessert spoon) take Spoonfuls of paste and drop portions into the oil to fry. Akara is ready when brown on both sides.
Served with Ogi, Custard, Oats, or Garri. It can also be eaten alone with a cup of tea or coffee.
Using Uncle Favour's Beans Flour for Moimoi
Materials Needed
- 1 cup of Uncle Favour's Beans Flour
- 350ml of clean water
- Blended Pepper
- Salt
- Crayfish
- Boiled fish (deboned)
- Bouillon cubes
- Vegetable oil
- Cleaned leaves
Procedure
Measure one cup of Uncle Favour's Beans flour into a clean bowl. Add 350ml of clean water then beat into a paste. Mix in the blended pepper and check if the consistency is meets the standard required. Add salt to taste and mix it in. Then add the bouillon cubes crayfish and deboned boiled mish, mix well before adding vegetable oil. Mix well to get a rich paste.
Fold into the cleaned leaves and steam cook in a pot.
Served with Ogi, Custard, Oats, or Garri.
